 Today I have to take my computer exam. I'm thus required to write a thoughtful and beautifully composed post on my blog. So here it goes.......

Spirit Week At School

Once a year, our school, (every school ) hosts a week long celebration of itself in the interest off relaxing students before exam week and convincing the student body that contrary to popular belief, school isn't a complete waste of time. As cynical as it sounds, it apparently works. The rest of the student body seemed to enjoy it, and as for me, myself, and I, it was bearable, although the whole thing seemed to have the opposite affect on yours truly: there are few things more stressful than trying to invent some clever costume, paint a giant class banner (almost) single-handedly, and avoid talking to all girls for a whole day, while trying to pass Honors Chemistry. On a brighter note, the week had some truly Briarwood moments to be proud of. There is nothing quite like walking into school one morning and finding two dozen teenage girls all dressed as that ginger chick from Frozen, especially when none of the said two dozen girls are gingers anyway. I guess I'm not one to judge; I personally dressed as myself for Disney day. How's that for school spirit. Fortunately, there is still some originality left in this world. Whoever dressed as Jack The Pumpkin King, from Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas", props to you for not dressing as yet another princess. That would have been a bit much.

Activity Five: your dream vacation. This is the easiest one yet. Hands down, Iceland. The country is beautiful, not in a oh-isn't-that-pretty kind of way, but in a jaw-dropping-breath-taking-tears-in-your-eyes-while-you-take-five hundred photos-of the-same-rock kind of way. Its culture is unlike any other on earth, as is its climate, landscape and cuisine. And if anyone was wondering, I liked Iceland before anyone else even knew what is was.

I guess its time for activity four of my computer class final : make a critique and review for a book, song, or artwork. I'm not entirely sure how to go about this, considering the few songs I do listen to would probably not be deemed school appropriate, namely because they don't happen to be Zack Browns "Chicken Fried" or One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful". I'm not a very musical person, but there are some things I can't even pretend to like. So I guess I'm picking a movie.
Chariots Of Fire is an incredible sports movie and a iconic film besides. It is still deemed by many to have the greatest soundtrack in Hollywood history. The movie takes place in England, 1924, at the first Olympics in almost ten years, on account of the First World War. The story follows three runners from very different backrounds, who all overcome personal prejudices between each other, and unite to represent their country and win the gold. It a great movie for anyone, sports fans or not, and I highly recommend seeing it.

Sadly my avatar didn't load properly and evidently I'm about to fail computer class. Oh well. Until I get this to work you can just use your imagination as to how awesome I look ( and to how much trouble I'm going to be in at home with a F on my computer final )

My bright red suit and electric blue pinstriped pants add a touch of respectability to my seventies hairdo and aviator sunglasses. My guitar that I cant play represents my musical talent (or lack there of ).

I'll Be Perfectly Honest With You....

This is the first blog I've ever done, and for the most part I have pretty bad techno-phobia. I wouldn't blogging here at all, but I'm taking Advanced Computer class as my elective, the only alternative to Chorus and Accounting, ( Advanced Computer is just about my favorite class, so I'm not complaining :) . Truthfully, I'm barely passing math as it is and I can sing about as well as I can throw a truckload of pianos. So for the time being, Computer it is. For the time being, this blog is for my grade at not for internet entertainment. Since my parents and half the school faculty are viewing this, my main priority is passing computer and not stepping on too many toes. Just in case you're wondering why a blog with as cool a name as mine is posting football schedules and  book reviews.

My name is Shaunquavius Davius Jones. I am the second oldest of twelve and a half siblings. I play point guard for the Greenwood Gators basketball team.

 Hello again World. Looks like I messed up on where that game is. Its actually some 4.5 hours south of us, way down in Americus.  I seriously doubt anyone read that post any way! 
   It turns out my entire class posted something about the football game today. Welcome to the South. In the meantime, it looks like I'm going to have to find some new ideas.

Well, it looks like the Briarwood Buccaneers Football team are facing the West Minister Wildcats this Friday in sunny Augusta, Georgia. I would post some cool pictures but alas, I'm not that technologically advanced.  We are 2-0 so far this year, making us the best of the uber competitive AA class in our region (catch that sarcasm?). Come out and see the Bucs in action. Don't forget to support our Varsity Cheer Squad, after all, someone has to wave the pom-poms.
